The notes below summarize warranty periods that may differ from standard Beckett Terms as of July 7, 2022. Such terms may be modified from time to time, contact customer service or your sales representative for updated information.

The R.W. Beckett Corporation (“Beckett”) warrants to persons who directly purchase its “Products” from Beckett for resale or for incorporation into a product for resale (“Customers”) that its equipment is free from defects in material and workmanship. When such defects occur Beckett, at its option, will either replace or repair the defective product.

THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO THE PRECISE TERMS HEREWITH AND PROVIDES EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER REMEDIES, AND IN PARTICULAR THERE SHALL BE EXCLUDED THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER TO PROVIDE SUITABLE MONITORING AND/OR BACKUP SYSTEMS TO PREVENT PROPERTY DAMAGE OR INCONVENIENCE DUE TO PRODUCT SHUTDOWN OR FAILURE. IN NO EVENT WILL BECKETT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LABOR COST FOR REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF PARTS OR EQUIPMENT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE OF ANY NATURE. (Such as frozen pipes, water damage, or lost production).

Beckett neither assumes nor authorizes any person to assume, for Beckett, any other liability or obligation in connection with the sale of this equipment. Beckett’s liability and the Customer’s exclusive remedy being limited to credit or replacement, as set forth above.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND TO EQUIPMENT SUBJECTED TO MISUSE, NEGLECT, OR ACCIDENT; NOR DOES IT APPLY UNLESS THE PRODUCT IS PROPERLY INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED, COMPETENT TECHNICIAN, FAMILIAR WITH THE PRODUCT, WHO IS LICENSED WHERE STATE AND LOCAL CODES REQUIRE, AND WHO IS EXPERIENCED IN MAKING SUCH INSTALLATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA31 OF THE NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION, THE LATEST EDITION OF THE NATIONAL FUEL GAS CODE (NFPA 54), THE LATEST EDITION OF THE INSTALLATION CODE FOR OIL-BURNING EQUIPMENT (CSA B139) AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE NATIONAL, STATE, PROVINCIAL, LOCAL CODES, AND ANY OTHER AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION.

  • Complete Beckett Burners are not covered by this warranty unless prior authorization from Beckett has been received. An RMA is required before returning any complete burner. Learn more.

Notes:

  1. Complete Beckett Burners are not covered by this warranty unless prior authorization from Beckett has been received. An RMA is required before returning any complete burner. See 5 below.
  2. Damages caused by fuel are not covered by this warranty. Users should only use ASTM D396 #1 and #2 fuel grades. Products marked as B20 compliant may additionally be used with ASTM D396 Grade B6-B20 biodiesel. Products (AF/AFG only) marked as B100 compliant may additional be used with blends containing ASTM D6751 B100 biodiesel. If the use of other fuels is required, please consult with Beckett for written authorization. The use of unapproved fuel may cause equipment failures including leaked fuels which can cause ground contamination. Equipment failure can lead to property damage, personal injury or death due to carbon monoxide poisoning, fire, or explosion. Please refer to burner rating label to avoid mis-fueling.
  3. Non-Beckett branded products not original to the burner should be returned to that manufacturer’s authorized agent in accordance with their warranty terms. Non-Beckett branded equipment sent to Beckett will be returned at customer’s expense or scrapped. Please consult with the manufacturer listed on the product for applicable warranties.
  4. These Items are intended to be replaced during routine servicing or are non-Beckett Branded items and are not covered by this warranty.
  5. To file a claim under this warranty: R.W. Beckett requires an “Returned Material Authorization” (RMA) number for components, parts, or service tools returned for warranty or analysis. An RMA is also required to return complete burners purchased directly from Beckett. Beckett branded products should be returned freight prepaid, to Beckett’s home office. At Beckett’s discretion, credit or replacement will be provided to the Customer unless the returned product is determined to be free of defect, outside of the warranty period listed and/or damaged through misuse or neglect. In this case the equipment will be returned at the customer’s expense or scrapped. Note: OEM appliance burners should be returned to the original equipment manufacturer in accordance with their return policies.
